Health
Health is more than the absence of disease. Health is a critical enabler of a person's ability to live life to the fullest and is shaped by the conditions in which individuals grow, live, learn, work and age.
Research on well-being highlights that promoting positive mental health and relieving chronic challenges such as anxiety and depression are among the greatest opportunities to improve quality of life in Canada. Emotional well-being and a positive outlook on life are key indicators of how people perceive and experience quality of life. Reliable access to timely and appropriate health care provides peace of mind and promotes positive health outcomes.
